New Automatic Axle Adjust System
Date posted: 2/6/2008
Househam Sprayers last week launched their new generation, automatically adjusted axles, delivering a programmable track width from 68 inches to 80 inches.
With the advancement in computerised technology and new heavy-duty electronic sensors, the Househam designers have come up with an axle system that is totally controllable from the cab using their revolutionary TMC system. (Total Machine Control).
Operators can choose to Manually or Automatically alter the axle width from the cab seat, while a constant axle width readout can be viewed on the TMC terminal screen. In Automatic mode a new axle width can be preset on the touch screen while stationary, the system will then automatically adjust the axle width once the machine is moving, avoiding excess component stress.
The introduction of the versatile axle system is a big bonus to contractors or farmers who have a range of tramline widths on their crops. The system offers a simple, quick and reliable change of track without the need for the operator to leave the cab.
“We are delighted with the response to the new system and have already taken three orders for self propelled sprayers incorporating the design.” Said managing director Rob
