Formula 1 Technology in Sprayers

When you see a formula one car line up on the starting grid, you can be rest assured that there is a team of engineers around the other side of the world monitoring every wheel movement and engine heartbeat, well that sounds like a long way from spraying crops in a field in the middle of Hertfordshire, but, that time is here! Househam Sprayers Ltd have introduced their own TELEMATICS operating system which will enable access to the machine’s TMC system from both a base on the farm and from the Househam factory, even while the machine is operating in the field.

Andy Kneen, Engineering director for Househam said.

“It’s true that there is a certain amount of Formula One technology in the system. It will enable even more streamlined operating for the farmer and should there be a problem we can dial into the machine and identify issues at a glance.”

The TELEMATICS systems will be demonstrated for the first time at the Cereals 2011 event in June.
